Abdel El Kettani - Italian Men's National Team (U16, U18, U21)
Abdel grew up in Italy, playing for the Cus Torino Hockey Club advancing to the 1st Division at age 15 where his team won 3 division titles. A striker and midfielder, he continued his field hockey career in France where he played for the Paris Jean Boin team for 2 years in the 1st Division. In 2014 Abdel returned home to Turin, Italy where his team won the league championship. Coach Abdel has a long history of coaching and developing youth players and was responsible for coaching U12s at the young age of 15. Abdel has also worked full time in schools, working with children from 6 to 17 years of age. In the US, Abdel coaches for AGH Field Hockey Club and he competes in the NEFHA league for Rye FHC
Kelly Marks - US Women's National Development Player
Kelly began her field hockey career playing for elite club powerhouse, X-Calibur, where her team won their pools at both the National Field Hockey Festival and National Indoor Tournament. She went on to play Division I at Old Dominion University where her team finished in the NCAA final four in 2011. Transferring to Division I University of Albany, she was co-captain and led her team to the NCAA final four in 2014. In 2011, Kelly was selected to the US Women’s U21 National Team.Kelly has coached in numerous camps and clinics for her university programs and has strong experience coaching youth players.
Francesca Rowley - Holy Cross Asst Coach, New Zealand Women's National Hockey League
Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Francesca started playing field hockey at the age of 11. She played in the New Zealand U18 Nationals and at age 20, she competed in the New Zealand Women’s National Hockey League. Francesca received a full scholarship to play D1 for the University of Maine where she was the Assistant Field Hockey Coach and completing completing her Masters in Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition. Francesca’s specializes in the technical aspects of the game such as hitting, reverse side skills and dribbling. She runs and coaches youth clinics and club teams throughout the year.
Shawn Hindy- Former Chairman USA Field Hockey, US Men's National Team
Chairman of the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors and former USA National Team player for both the indoor and outdoor teams for over 16 years will be joining Excel Field Hockey Camps Full Day Session (6/28-7/1). Coach Hindy was the USA Women’s National Indoor Coach from 2006-2009 and also played in 2 Indoor World Cups in 2003 and 2011. Shawn played for the USA Men's Outdoor team from 1995-2007 and was First Alternate on the 1996 Olympic Team as well as competing in 2 Pan Am games and many, many other tournaments and matches for the United States. Shawn has coached for Michigan State and University of Virginia and is the founder of First Class Field Hockey Club in Arlington,Texas.
Heiko Milz - International Goalkeeping Specialist
Heiko Milz has been a goalkeeper for 22 years, 17 years of which were in the top German league, Bundesliga. For many years he worked as a goalkeeping coach in various hockey clubs in Germany, but also trains the goalkeepers of the A-squad of women and personal coach of national German goalkeeper and Olympian Kristina Reynolds. Since 2010 Heiko holds the trainer A-license of the German Hockey Federation. Heiko is the founder of Magic Goalies, training goalkeepers from around the world. See them in action here
Ken Pereira - 2 Time Olympian Canadian Men's National Team
Ken Pereira has represented his country for the past 20 years in the sport of Field Hockey. He is the most capped (international matches) player for Canada with 348 games. Ken has played in 5 Pan Am Games, 4 CommonWealth Games, 2 World Cups and 2 Olympic Games, he was also the captain of the team from 2008-2012. In the CommonWealth Games Ken was chosen as Canada’s Flag bearer to lead his country into the Opening Ceremonies in Delhi, India. Ken has played semi pro field hockey in The Netherlands for 5 years 2006-2011, in 2011 he was on the winning team of the European Hockey League. Ken also coached 2 teams U-16 years of age for 2 years in The Netherlands. Ken also played in the semi pro league in India, The World Series Hockey League in 2012, where he was the captain of the team. Ken has extensive experience coaching at the highest level, coaching club and Canadian National Teams for both Men and Women. He is the founder of KP9 Field Hockey.
Ali McEvoy - US Women's National Team Player
Ali has been a member of the US Women’s National Teams for U16, U19, U21 and is a current member of the US Women’s National Team competing in numerous international series, including:
2016: Series against Canada, Series against Chile
2015: Series against Argentina, 8 Nations Tournament (5th, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand),Series against Ireland, Series against Great Britain, Series against Japan
2012: World Cup Qualifier (Guadalajara, Mexico), Bronze Medal at Jr. Pan American World Cup Qualifier (Guadalajara, Mexico)
Ali has also been on the US Women’s National Indoor Team for 5 years. A defender, she played at Division I powerhouse University of Maryland where her team was a two-time NCAA Division 1 Champion. Ali was born and raised in Pennsylvania and began her field hockey career playing for one of the top US clubs, X-Calibur.
Kealy Chipman - Div III All American
As a four-year starter for the Spartans, Chipman finished her career as Castleton's all-time leader in points, goals and assists. During the 2012 campaign she set program single-season records for points, goals and assists. Chipman also earned NAC First Team All-Conference Honors while leading Castleton to a Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament. As a senior in 2012 Chipman participated in NFHCA Division III Senior All-Star Game, was nominated to the NFHCA New England All-Region Team, named a NFHCA Second-Team All-American, and earned North Atlantic Conference Player of the year honors. Kealy has coached in numerous camps and is currently the Assistant Field Hockey Coach at Wilkes University.
